Marketing forgot it was a verb. And before you point at AI or McKinsey or your CEO, look at me. Look at us. We did this. We sat in the offsites. We built the brand pyramids. We presented the 90-day plan. We turned the work into a deliverable and the deliverable into a deck and the deck into a Drive folder nobody opens.
AI did not kill marketing. We did. AI killed marketing-as-a-noun, the version we let it become. But this is the age of action. Rapid, sometimes disconcerting, but always lurching forward.
That is the work. It always was. We just forgot.
